Ellen Parry is a qualified Chinese medicine practitioner and Acupuncturist who has a 4 year Bachelor of Health Science degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (BHSc.Acu).
With over a decade of clinical experience as a nurse, Ellen brings a unique integrative approach to healthcare, blending the strengths of both Eastern and Western medicine.
Ellen is passionate about both streams of Eastern and Western medicine, and she actively works across both disciplines. She maintains her nursing registration and works casually across various different medical and surgical departments at both the Sunshine Coast University Public Hospital (SCUH) and Sunshine University Private Hospital (SCUPH). Ellen has also undergone further education by completing a Diploma of Population Health.
At the heart of Ellens practice is a person centered approach. Ellen is committed to providing a non biased environment, in a very caring and supportive manner to enable people to feel comfortable and at ease throughout the consultation and treatment. Ellen is passionate about an individualised approach to treatment, patient education and patient lead decision making to improve and sustain long-term health outcomes.
Ellen’s clinical philosophy is grounded in evidence-based practice. She uses current scientific research to inform her treatments, integrating traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture with Western medical principles to ensure the most accurate diagnoses and effective care plans.
Outside of her professional life, Ellen finds balance by spending the majority of her time outdoors- especially the ocean. She enjoys gardening, trail running, hiking and reading. Ellen also enjoys travelling where she relishes the experience of different cultures, languages, philosophy and foods.
